Conferencia sobre computación cuántica y geopolítica mundial se realizó en Ciea-Sypal

Interesante conferencia sobre computación cuántica en el marco de la geopolítica mundial fue desarrollada el miércoles 12 de abril de 2022 a partir de las 8:00 p. m. hora de Bogotá, por el ingeniero de sistemas Milton Quiroga Becerra. La actividad se caracterizó por la fluidez en el desarrollo de la temática, el tino del conferencista y las intervenciones, a posteriori, de los asistentes. La presentación del ingeniero Quiroga fue de impacto, dada la actualidad del tema y los desarrollos científicos y tecnológicos en computación que están por sucederse.

En palabras de Milton Quiroga, ““El advenimiento de la computación cuántica tiene el potencial de cambiar radicalmente el panorama de la seguridad de la información en el mundo. La posibilidad fantasmal de aceleración de los algoritmos cuánticos podría poner en peligro la seguridad del mundo digital, hoy en día basada en criptografía -ya llamada- clásica”. Para este ingeniero y consultor de Ciea-Sypal en computación cuántica -vinculado a la Universidad de Los Andes, en Bogotá y a CyberTech-, su charla motiva el interés “en el análisis de la tecnología cuántica, sus posibilidades de aplicación en el mundo de la seguridad de la información y la forma en que las organizaciones pueden protegerse de los ataques basados en ordenadores cuánticos, utilizando los más recientes avances en criptografía post-cuántica”.

Antecedentes

La actividad formativa en criptografía y en métodos para codificar la información cumplida por Ciea-Sypal se remonta al 2007, en Caracas, cuando el también ingeniero de sistemas Reynaldo Mayor Arnao, de la Universidad de Los Andes, Mérida, desarrolló un curso de introducción a la criptografía, con la presencia de representantes de entidades públicas y privadas interesadas en este delicado e importante tema. La actividad fue exitosa y planteó en su momento la apertura en Ciea-Sypal de líneas de investigación respectivas.

En el 2009, con el ingeniero Milton Quiroga Becerra, se asomaron en Caracas variadas opciones que servirían de insumo para potenciales iniciativas, años después, incluyendo la conferencia que motiva esta información.

Años después, en el año 2021, en Ciea-Sypal y en esta oportunidad en asocio con AVTcnología, en Colombia, se convocó al curso internacional sobre ciberseguridad. En el marco de esta convocatoria se realizaron Importantes conferencias open, con expertos en la materia, todo bajo la coordinación del ingeniero y experto en cibersegudidad Alfonso Valencia Rodríguez.

Líneas de investigación

En el 2022 la actividad en informática, telemática y ciberseguridad en Ciea-Sypal se potenció con la vinculación del ingeniero en computación Ernesto Suárez, como director de la Línea de investigación en nuevos desarrollos. Esta actividad se complementó con la dinámica cumplida por el psicólogo y analista de datos Marcos Dafrán Barrera Hurtado, como coordinador de la Línea de investigación en inteligencia artificial.

Perspectivas

A juicio de Marcos Fidel Barrera Morales, Director General de Ciea-Sypal, en el mundo se vislumbra actualmente un panorama determinado por las corrientes científicas y tecnológicas, con una sociedad mundial afectada sensiblemente por aplicaciones y recursos técnicos interesados en el flujo informativo, además del influjo en las personas y la defensa de intereses de toda índole. ¿Cuáles intereses? Pues, unos hegemónicos, otros ideológicos, otros de mercado y unos más interesados en el desarrollo del saber, de la ciencia y del conocimiento. Esto hace que se abran perspectivas interesantes en diferentes ciencias, disciplinas y sus correspondientes profesiones, oficios y ocupaciones, a la par que crece la inseguridad personal, institucional y de cada país, en cuanto a data se refiere. Sin embargo –indicó el Director-, este aspecto es crucial y termina afectando todo. De ahí su vital importancia.
